Rice Krispie Easter Eggs

With Easter just around the corner, I decided it was time to spread a little spring cheer with these adorable Rice Krispie Treat Easter eggs!

Rice Krispie Treats (adapted from the Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats recipe):

1/4 cup butter
1 (10 oz., about 40) pkg. regular marshmallows or
  3 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal
food coloring (colors of your choice)

1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
2. Add the marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add in the food coloring of your choice to the marshmallow mixture ( I noticed that i had to make the marshmallow mixture a few shades darker than I wanted the eggs to be in the end)
4. Stir in the Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted marshmallow mixture.
5. Using your hands, form small handfuls of the mixture into egg shapes.

Tips:
1. Split the melted marshmallow mixture in half and tint half of it one color, and the other half another color. This way you only have to make 1 batch of Rice Krispie Treats to make 2 colors.
2. Lightly grease your hands to prevent sticking
